Stadium Design
![]() HNTB, an internationally renowned architecture firm and Turner Construction, will design and build the new Santa Clara Stadium. The new stadium will feature open pedestrian plazas, commercial community space, a 49ers team store, and a 49ers Hall of Fame. The stadium is functionally designed to create a building that can be used for a wide range of events including professional and college football, soccer, motocross, concerts, and civic events. |
Parking & Access
![]() The new stadium is located near several major highways and expressways including Highways 101, 237, 880, Lawrence Expressway, and San Tomas Expressway. Once arriving in the Santa Clara area, you will find 11 different highway interchange options to get to the new stadium parking lots. The stadium also provides excellent transit access including buses, VTA light rail, ACE trains, and Amtrak that will drop fans off within an easy walking distance to the stadium. With more than 21,000 parking spaces located within a short walking distance, the stadium will provide plenty of parking for fans. |

Open Design
![]() The new stadium is designed to be light, airy, and open. The attractive white, painted steel structure of the stadium will create a unique viewing experience allowing people to enjoy not only the views to the field but also spectacular views to the surrounding Silicon Valley. |
Plazas
![]() The stadium will be anchored on its corners by spacious entry plazas, creating relaxed and open gathering places. The main entry plaza, at the northwest corner of the stadium, will be open to the public year-round, providing striking views of the playing field as well as an opportunity for casual refreshment and premiere retail and community space. |

Green & Sustainable Design
![]() The stadium incorporates photovoltaic panels, a green roof, excellent public transit access, convenient bicycle parking, walking path access from the San Tomas Creek Trail, water-conserving plumbing fixtures, sophisticated building control systems, recycled materials, and a long list of other sustainable design concepts. |

![]() Through partnerships with local, national, and international technology providers, the stadium will be a showcase for innovation in Silicon Valley. Featuring stadium-wide WiFi capability, mobile connectivity, IPTV, and colossal HD video boards measuring over 13,000 square feet, no one will miss a minute of the action! |
